Earl "DMX" Simmons was remembered on 4/24/2021 in a 'Celebration Of Life' ceremony at the Barclays Center In Brooklyn, New York.
The Celebrity Artist passed away on April 9, 2021
DMX was born on December 18,1970 in Mount Vernon, New York.
The Rap Artist, Songwriter, and Actor will be missed by many. His creative craft and body of work will live on forever.
Before the ceremony X's fiancée 'Desiree Lindstrom' posted this photo with her and DMX son on her Instagram along the caption:
"Today is very hard for me and my family...but one thing that is keeping me going is knowing that my son and I just gained an amazing angel, my fiancé and Exodus father...Earl Simmons..! I will forever love you and you will always be in my heart!"
The ceremony started off with DMX on a Slingshot ride with his daughter.

After the intro, X’s mother and kids with their mothers lined the stage in front of his casket. His mother talk about how much he loved his children and wanted them all to be together and the mothers to be on one accord.
Two of his sons spoke about their love for him and his young daughter rapped her version of his song “Slippin”
“Ay yo I’m growin', I’m learnin' to hold my head up … my daddy still holdin' my hand so I gotta stand up"
Others who spoke at the ceremony were Jadakiss, Styles P of The Lox, Swizz Beatz, Eve and other Ruff Ryders members. Swizz looked out into the crowd and said: "I just wish all these people showed up for him when he was here".
He also said that he's learned a lot from X's passing. He urged everyone to get a will.
"I need everybody to do a will … you have to do your will … you do not want strangers … bloodsuckers handling your business when you not here … you want the ones that you love handling your business."
Swizz said he will make sure DMX's family is straight and he wants everyone else to do the same.
Swizz Beatz ended the ceremony with the Ruff Ryders' Anthem:
"Stop, drop, shut'em down, open up shop
oh, no, that's how Ruff Ryders roll"
